Attest™
Respond to the record. Document context, disagreement, or additional information linked to a source record — without altering official records or claiming legal effect.
What Attest™ Does
Attest™ helps a person document context, disagreement, or additional information in a traceable response-to-record format linked to the specific source record it addresses. It is designed for child-welfare record environments where family voice, procedural transparency, and documented participation matter.
The core function is straightforward: Attest™ documents that a response existed, what it addressed, when it was prepared and preserved, and what supporting material was associated with it. It does not determine who is right, what legal effect the response has, or whether any agency or court will review it.
Attest™ fills a gap that most self-representation tools do not address: the ability to create a structured, traceable, source-linked record of one's own position within an active record-based process — particularly in child welfare, where the record itself is the primary arena and family participation is often structurally disadvantaged.
Who It's For
- Family members with information or context that is missing from or inconsistent with an official child-welfare record
- Parents, caregivers, or family members navigating child protective services, foster care, or termination-of-parental-rights proceedings
- Individuals who want to document their participation and position in a process for future reference and accountability
- Organizations supporting families in child-welfare record environments who need a structured tool for response documentation
Core Workflows
Response-to-Record Creation
Document context, disagreement, or additional information in a structured format that is explicitly linked to the specific source record it addresses — creating a traceable response rather than an unanchored counter-claim.
Source Record Linkage
Attest™ responses are anchored to the specific document, entry, or record they address. The relationship between a response and its source is preserved in the structure of the workflow — not lost in a separate file.
Submission & Preservation Timestamps
Document when a response was created, preserved, and submitted — establishing a timestamped record that a response existed, what it addressed, and when it was prepared.
Supporting Material Association
Attach supporting documents, exhibits, and contextual material to a response entry — linking evidence to the specific claim or response it supports without altering the underlying record.
How Attest™ Relates to Other SRI Products
Scope & Boundaries — Important
Attest™ does not create a legal filing, alter an official record, determine factual truth, establish legal rights, determine evidentiary value, confer access rights, compel agency or court action, or guarantee agency or court review.
Attest™ is not legal advice and is not a substitute for legal representation. It is a documentation tool for preserving the structure of a family's participation in a record-based process.
Attest™ is a frozen concept-stage demonstration — not a live production system. The core mechanics — family voice, structured rebuttal, tenant isolation, and tamper-evident provenance — have been validated in a controlled environment. This demonstration does not establish production readiness or indicate availability for general use.
